For your information, we do not charge for any special handling charges for shipping costs. You simply pay for standard shipping cost of EMS and SAL. Q: How about HW JAPAN's prices?
A: We believe that our listed discount prices of Japanese hobby products are some of the best in the world. We have long standing relations with most of the larger Japanese wholesalers and other brand name manufacturers, which allows us to get lower net pricing from them. Our prices range from 6% - 25% from Japanese retail prices depending on brands and quantities. Please note that our pricing may not be lower than in North American or Europe, but it is lower than Japanese retail price! You can get a better discount using HW JAPAN discount points if you join our free member's club. As a smart shopper, we recommend that you search other internet hobby sites for information about your items and then buy them from HW JAPAN safely and economically.
Q: How should I pay in Japanese Yen?
A: Not to worry. Major credit cards such as Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Paypal can be used for payment. HW JAPAN will charge the total listed discount price in Japanese yen on your card, and your credit card company will do the conversion to your local currency when billing you. An approximate cost for your convenience will be shown in US$ and Euro for each product.
Q: What about my shipping cost? Even if the price is very low?
A: We do not charge for special handling on your orders. Common rates are applied for EMS and SAL depending on the size of your products with packing and the destination where you live. If you need your items urgently, you can use our FedEx's special discount price. How much time it takes depends on where you live, but 1-3 weeks for SAL shipments to most countries, and 1 week or less for EMS shipments, 3-4 days for FedEx in generally.
Q. What about import duty and taxes for my products?
A: This will depend on your country's tax rate as they are all different. In Japan our customs imposes 3.9% of most imported hobby items and toy products. In the United States there is no import duty or taxes. We recommend checking your duty and taxes for your country.
Q: What do I know your inventory status for the items shown on HW JAPAN?
A: Products with "In Stock" shown on HW JAPAN means they are available right now. Exact inventory quantities vary all the time depending on orders from all over the world. Regarding the items without "In Stock" shown on HW JAPAN, we will try to get the items for you as quickly as we can after receiving your order. Even if it is difficult to find, we will continue to search for the item or until you cancel your order.

Despite HW Japan's best efforts, there are times when an item has a manufacturer or market price increase, that has not been posted. Should this occur, you will be charged the new price.
If an item price was changed after you placed your order, HW Japan will notify you by e-mail, giving you the option to cancel or have the item sent at the new pricing.

Special Discount on Customers Who Hope for Large Quantity Purchase
Special discount will be applied to customers who buy more than 100,000JPY in total at Japanese retail price. When the total amount increases by 100,000JPY, the special discount rate also increases. Please note that regular collective discount points (coupon) for all customers will not be applied and used for orders over 100,000JPY. In case that the customer is a distributor, importer, wholesaler who has got sales channels and routes in his country, we can suggest you wholesale price business. Please refer to the subject “Distributor” in HW JAPAN policy for more details.
Stock Status
Stock Processing
HW JAPAN will send all items that are in-stock at that time.
The in-stock process is the time that it takes from placing the order to the disposition of the item. You can confirm the in-stock situation in the detailed page of the article.
When the stock process is mentioned "in-stock", it indicates "the number of stocked item in the HW Japan Delivery Center". When you place an order for only these items, an e-mail will be sent within 1-2 business days after an order is placed.
When the stock process in mentioned "Back Order in 3 Working Days", it indicates "out of stock" and "will be stocked in the near future".
The time that it takes shipment to be sent is not included in the stock process. From the time the settlement processing is completed and the order confirmation is sent will include the time to check the in-stock item, the time to complete payment and the delivery of your order to you.
Stock situation + Delivery times = Time from order confirmation to arrival.
The days that delivery takes may be changed by your designated delivery optional, you choice of delivery. In addition, when the designated size, weight limit will over the limit, it may take extra time. Also when order is more of the stock items, it may take more time for order to be processed.
It is extremely rare that a item will be out of stock after ordering. When we are informed that an article cannot be sent to us, we will cancel an order after communication by an e-mail.

Articles that are described on the detail pages as stock situation (Preorder) and (Backorder), you may order it by a normal method.
About Reservation Articles
1. It is the Japanese time schedule on the deadline / a sale date.
2. It is often postponed on a sale date.
3. Manufacturer's changes may such as design, or price after release may occur.
4. As for the estimate of the postage when you confirm at the time of an order, that includes the pre-order items, the postage for the pre-order item is a suggested cost.
5. When including pre-ordered items, due to popular demand and limited edition supply, the manufacturer may decrease production.
6. When orders are rushed, a pre-order may be sold out before the final day.
About Order
When the stock situation describes “out of stock, the item will be delivered as soon as available (Backorder)”, it is sent out when item arrives after it was confirmed.
Depending on the arrival situation, we may need to cancel your order, please be aware of this.
Delivery of Pre-Orders
Although HW JAPAN tries to send items out after the sales date, we may not be able to send it on time. (Exclude the possibility that is mentioned in the sending of items on the sales date on the detailed page.) Please not in advance order in detail information.
Depending on an item, should it arrive after a sale date and the item may be less than the number of orders. In this situation, it takes 7-10 days (depending on the item more), from sales date to arrival date to customers. Depending on the arrival situation, we may cancel your order, please be aware of this possibility. In addition, we will ship your order after all the items have arrived at one time.
The Benefit of the Pre-Ordered Item
Please note the special package as Limited version / First time versions.

When you add "external reservation benefit" (the benefit that is not enclosed by the articles such as posters), there are notices on the detail page of each item. When there is no notice of reservation benefit, we do not keep it, please be aware of this.
When you order a reservation benefit item with other items, the items are sent out on the longest shipment due date. Stock of the reservation benefit items is limited. Depending on the stock situation of other items, there are some cases that we cannot send out reservation benefit items, due to out of stock when we are ready to ship. We recommend you order one piece of the item, in case you have other items that have a reservation benefit.
When you Order Items that Have Different Stock Situation.
When you order a time that has a different stock situation, it will not be sent out until all items have arrived. Depending on ordered items, including reservation items or advance items, it may take more time until delivery date. (Depending on arrival situation)
HW JAPAN Points of Reservation Articles
The number of the points, calculated at the time the shipment was settled is given to the HW JAPAN point of the reservation item. When an item's price changes, the number of the points is given depending on the price that you paid.

If you would like to search for an item, using keyword search, please enter the keyword such as product name. The search box is located on the top page of every HW JAPAN page.
After entering keyword, then click "Go" button.
Search results will show on the page. Click the product name or image, to see the details of the item.
Category Search
If you would like to search for the product by the category, please choose the category such as PlasticModelKit. You can check the category link on the left side of every HW Japan page.
We have many categories such as PlasticModelKit, Gundam and Airplane Model, etc. If you click the category of the product you are specifically looking for, only the products of that particular category are shown.
Click the product name or image, to see the details of the item.
Advanced Search
If you use this advanced search engine, you can query desired products in more details, with several fields. If you use more than one field, you can search the products that meet all of your selected field.
If you would like to search products by the advanced search, please fill in or select fields.
First of all please click the advanced search located in the upper right side of every page. Please enter the conditions (keyword, product name, price, manufacturer or release date, etc.), and then click the search button. Search results will be shown on the page. Click the product name or image, to see the details of the product.

If you combine several conditions, you can make your search even more specific.
If you cannot find the product you are looking for, please check your information and try again.
Check the accuracy of your keyword.
If you enter incorrect spelling of the product, the search result will not show. Please make sure the spelling of the keyword.
Check if you put a space between words (in case you query with more than 1 word).If you don’t put a space between words, the search engine will not work. If you would like to search for an product with more than one word, please make sure there is a space between words.
If you cannot find the item, we may not carry the product you are looking for. However we may sell the product in the future. Please try again later time. Please note that we do not inform customers of item release dates except some products.
Payment Method
Once all of your ordered items are in stock, a message titled Payment Request from HW JAPAN will be sent to you. URL of Settlement Page is mentioned in the message, so please open that page and proceed your payment.
When you go to the Settlement Page, your order details along with shipping method and total amount will be shown.
The total amount of Settlement Page may differ from the one you saw at the time of ordering if you have pre-order items or if you made any changes.
Please confirm the final order details, and then proceed payment transaction.
Please choose your payment method.
If you choose to use PayPal, the page will be transmitted to the PayPal page.
Please complete your payment according to the instructions.
Payment subject will be shown as "HW JAPANs Items".
If you choose to use a Credit Card, please enter Credit Card Number, Month/ Year, and Security Code.
Security code is not required.

If you choose to use a credit card that accepts 3D secured verification, the button which transmits you to your card issuer's page will be shown.
Please go on the payment transaction, and enter the necessary information.
Once your card gets approved, a confirmation page will be displayed.
Should an error message appear, that means that the payment transaction has not been completed.
Please confirm if your card information, such as card number and expiration date, is correct and do your payment transaction once again from the URL of Settlement Page written in the payment request message.

Automatic Calculation of Shipping Methods and Fees
We use an automated system to calculate estimated shipping fees, so you have an idea of the estimated postage for your order.
Please choose all the items you are going to purchase, and enter shipping information.
Estimated shipping fees for each shipping method will be shown in the shipping corner of step 4. The order transaction is not completed at this time, so please use this system freely.
The weight shown with each item reflects the exact weight of the item, and volume means the necessary size for packing.
In case of EMS and SAL, we calculate estimated shipping fees on the total weight of the order.
In case of FedEx, a higher cost will be indicated comparing the shipping fee calculated on total weight of order and the one on weight of volume.
Details of the total weight of the order include the total weight of ordered items and packing materials.
Please be advised of the following:
1. Shipping fees are indicated at the time the order is estimated. We will inform you of the correct shipping fee at the time payment is requested.
2. If you have pre-order items, the weight and size of the item is unknown until its release, so we will not show this information on item page.
If your order includes pre-order items, estimated shipping fees will be shown at the time the order is calculated, on total weight excluding the pre-order item.
For this reason, please understand that the exact shipping fee you see at the time of payment may be very different from the estimated one.
3. If you have made any changes to your order, weight and volume will be also change, so please remember that the shipping fees will be also increased or decreased at the same time.
4. If your order exceeds the size or weight limit of the shipping method you chose, we will divide your order into separate shipments after all items are in stock.
Please understand that shipping fees will be also increase depending on any changes, and a payment request message will be sent to you one by one.
5. Depending where the items are to be shipped, other charges may occur besides the total amount on the Settlement Page.

About SAL (Economy Air)

This is a service where international mail is handled as surface mail in both Japan and the destination country and as airmail between the two countries. The service is faster than surface mail while the cost is lower than airmail.
However, as there is no insurance program, we cannot compensate the customer for any accident such as loss or damage during transportation of the order shipped by SAL.
Should you choose SAL as a shipping method, we consider that you be aware of with these issues.

Each parcel has a tracking number, and the tracking system is available only for the parcels addressed to very few countries.

Problems with Your Order
Please read the followings when you have any problems with an order from HW JAPAN.
Q: Can I cancel the order?
A: You can cancel or change the order if you have not already settled the account yet.
For further information, please see cancellation of the order or confirmation and change of your order.
Q: I have received damaged or defective goods.
A: If you receive damaged or defective goods, we will offer a refund or replacement as long as the goods are delivered to you within 30 days. Please advise HW JAPAN of the details on the damaged or defective item[s].
Q: I have received incorrect goods or goods I have not ordered.
A: If you receive goods that you did not order with ordered goods, please return the goods that you did not ordered to HW JAPAN. We will refund or replace them. Please let us know whether you need a refund or replacement sent to you. Please send an e-mail to HW JAPAN explaining the situation and the names of the unwanted items.
Q: I have not received part of my order.
A: Please check the description on the invoice enclosed in your package with the actual items. Occasionally orders are partially shipped when you have several items for one shipment. If you can not find the items you ordered in the package, please send an e-mail to HW JAPAN.
Q: I have not received ordered goods.
A: HW JAPAN will send an e-mail to confirm your order when we receive the order. If you have not received this mail, your order might not have been processed. Please place you order again. If you pre-order items or special order items with items in-stock, it may take longer to deliver your order depending on the shipping status.
